    Construction starts on latest Solar Decathlon design

    Professor of Architecture and Co-director of 51影视网's Center for Design Research, Joseph Wheeler M.A. '95, works with students from the College of Architecture, Arts, and Design as well as the College of Engineering to create a sustainable building for the new Solar Decathlon competition called Gateway Decathlon. Students build onto the floor trusses they designed with Van Metre's Director of Design and Estimating, Darek Jadlowski '10.

    The Wood Enterprise Institute

    The Wood Enterprise Institute (WEI) provides students a chance to learn business and entrepreneurial skills by immersing them in their own start-up. The team forms and devises a product made from wood, then develops a business and marketing plan to sell their product. Open to all majors, the WEI has been providing a valuable concept-to-market experience for students since 2007.
